
The European Commission (EC) appointed 22 top innovation leaders to guide the European Innovation Council (EIC), from the worlds of entrepreneurship, venture capital, science and technology.
Fredrik Hörstedt, a member of EIT Manufacturing Interim Supervisory Board and the Vice president of utilisation at Chalmers University of Technology, is one of the appointed members for the EIC Advisory Board, which will oversee the roll out of the current pilot and lead the strategy and design of the EIC under Horizon Europe.
Currently in its pilot phase, EIC is being introduced by the EC, in order to turn science into new business and accelerate the scale-up of innovative companies.
